sites charging for awakening tools

I run into a lot of sites selling all sorts of things (meditation tapes, courses, etc.) to help star people and others in the awakening process. But I never like to see it because I think those tools should be FREE. I can't help but think that if these people want so much to help, they would let people download mp3s of the meditations tapes or whatever it is they're selling and simply ask for donations. I understand they have to make money, but aren't we supposed to be helping each other without expecting to be payed? The rest of us offer whatever help we can without asking for anything in return. And I don't think you can use the excuse of production costs, because you can make a website for FREE and upload all that content you're selling for no charge.

I thought a lot of star people have financial problems, so why charge?
I just don't like it when I see things that cost SO MUCH ($300 for a, at-home course!?)

...you must freely give...

...I know that some of these people are feeding themselves with these proceeds...but I am thankful that I have a job and do not have to try to get money from those that I help...

We do not need to spend a unit money if we work together.
Just time it right ... convey your meditation timings (along with the difference from Greenwich Mean Time) and allot responsibilities : 1 set (preferably smaller) of people - meditate and the other set (2) (preferably larger) of people pray (for them/all of us/the living world) at the exact timings.
